How to have the perfect Avon Grand Opening

Before your appointment to sign up your Representative, make friends with her on Facebook and ask for her favorite picture so you will be able to announce her to your team.   
You will also put this picture on her Grand Opening draft copy when you go see her to sign her up.
She needs to see that there is a plan for her success, and own it.

Having a Grand Opening is the perfect way to show your new representative how to run an event, to show confidence in speaking with her customers, and in asking for orders.  

Success starts at the appointment to sign her up as a Rep.  I use a kit I made.  If I can put into her hands the important numbers of where to reach Customers Service, me, or, last resort, the DSM, I empower her ability to take control of her business.


The first sheet shows all her pertinent information to login, where to send her customers, where to send people who want to sign up, all the facebook pages and our blog which shows Campaign results for our contests.

I get them excited about not only the Grand opening by incorporating the Simple Plan is crucial.
1) let her know we are going to play a game at the Opening which will help her get her team to grow.
2)  I've told her what she will get for adding a member to her team, but do we show her how to do it?  Ok - so...
3) Add a Lead sheet to keep notes on people she meets so she can decide who needs money, Loves Avon, Loves Bling -  This LEAD SHEET IS ALSO HER INVITATION LIST.
4)  Then give her a Recruiting sheet so she can see her progress as she adds people.

 ONCE YOU ADD SOMEONE TO YOUR TEAM - WATCH YOUR BONUS' GROW!!!

Finally use your flyer to make notes on - then tell her that you are going to return in 48 hours - make the appointment - and give her the final draft of her invitation and see how her invitation list is coming.

I bring 10-20 invitations and encourage her to scan it and make more.  I also send her a .jpg that she can upload to Facebook and Social Media.  This should go out to FRIENDS - NOT PUBLIC.

Passing Game

Start by giving the gift to the hostess or person in the middle of the group

 1. Take this gift and with out a sigh look around and give it to a person with brown eyes.
 2.Yes, you are the lucky one for a moment, but let us all share in the fun! Please look around with eyes discreet and give it to the one with the smallest feet.
 3. Your feet are tiny and very small, now hand it to someone very tall.
 4. Please take your time and don't be harried. Give it to the one who is longest married.
 5. You must be proud of your life, now please pass this to the newest wife.
 6. Of this parcel you are bereft, give it to the one on your left.
 7. The largest earrings I'm looking for now, if you are wearing them, step up and bow.
 8. Now to the person with buttons... big or small, any kind, the most you can find, gets the gift this time.
 9. Now don't get cross and please don't fight, but pass it to the person 3rd on your right.
 10. We should stop now, don't you agree? This gift is yours to keep with glee!!!!

A few FUN ideas - give each guest their own order book (it's free) - Some will decide after entering their order that it's not so hard and will want to keep it when they sign up.

Have plenty of chairs - even if you have to borrow from a neighbor.

REFRESHMENTS SHOULD  BE SIMPLE - FLUID AND COOKIES/CRACKERS -

Keep the party Moving by doing an Avon Scavenger Hunt - Have people search for product that is being put on special for Campaign 17 or 18 and call out the item number.  One ticket for each find!


You need to be present when your Rep is inputting her first order - It's just good policy.  Sometimes I do it over the phone with join.me so that she can see what my screen looks like.
